Completion of Panel No.87 of the Great Scottish Tapestry

The community project by the Appin Stitchers, led by Midge, has been completed and the panel delivered to Edinburgh.

The community project by the Appin Stitchers led by Midge for the Great Scottish Tapestry is complete. It took the group 750 hours of stitching. Panel No. 87 depicts a scene from the Battle of Ypres during the First World War and the building of H.M.S. Hood on the Clyde. The completed Tapestry of 160 panels is due to be displayed in the Scottish Parliament in September. The Tapestry depicts the history of Scotland from pre-history to the present day.
