Midge’s work with the Appin Stitchers on the Great Scottish Tapestry progresses.

The Appin Stitchers under Midge’s guidance are working on a panel of the Great Tapestry of Scotland. We have been given a one metre square panel, No.87 to stitch. The panel depicts the Battle of Ypres and the building of HMS Hood on Clydeside. All the panels have been designed by Andrew Crummy and have to be completed by June 2013. We are about three quarters complete. It is being worked in wools and using a variety of stitches. See www.scotlandstapestry.com
